Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIRGINIA MAY FEWCHUK Virginia passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on November 27, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre. She leaves behind her son Guy, his wife Michelle; sister Dawn (Joe); niece Ann (Chris); and nephew John. Virginia comes from the Kirkness area and has lived the last 27 years in Selkirk. She worked at the Selkirk Mental Hospital for 25 years where she met a lot of her wonderful longtime precious friends. She was a very eccentric and unique lady whom we loved very much and who we will really miss. She loved to go to garage sales, play Liverpool and was a Red Hatter. A special thanks to Jim, Isabel and Gloria for all their help. Virginia was predeceased by her dad John and mother Annie. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 1 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ashfield Cemetery on Ashfield Road, near the junction of Highways 59 and 44. We invite you to join family and friends in celebrating Virginia's life (Pepsi party) at the Selkirk Legion, 403 Eveline Street following the service at 1:30 p.m. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

Virginia, I miss you so much!! I never got to properly say goodbye to you..... I went to Selkirk Hospital, where I visited everyday... I made sure you had lots of pillows (as I promised to oversee your comfort if you were ever ill)..and they told me you were discharged..I drove past your house and you weren't home,. so I thought you were at your sisters for a few days to get better. I was very shocked and extremely disappointed because nobody told me you were transferred to Health Sciences Centre, to the ICU. I would have come right away... I loved you like a Mother, because I lost my Mother at an early age. I loved spending time with you, going to Jamaica with you was the best trip ever!!! I know you kept a scrapbook of our adventures... I wonder if it's still around, or if it's been tossed. I would have loved to have it!! ❤❤ I think of you often, I thank you for your help with Noah.... you always gave me good advice. What I would give to have just one more conversation with you.... It's hard to believe you've been gone for 8 years... I wish you could see me now... I know you would be proud of me... I still miss you everyday... I think about you often.... and I loved your originality... you were a class act, in my eyes. I will forever cherish your memory, and will see you again, when my turn comes... I love you forever and always, Virginia! You were the most authentic person I knew..... 💐 With deepest respect; Charlene Katazinski (Gardiner) - Posted by: Charlene Katazinski (Close friend) on: Apr 30, 2017
